TNT Express Middle East Associates Supports Medecins Sans Frontieres

March 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Middle East – March 20th, 2012 - TNT Express Middle East, one of the leading global express delivery companies, donated the amount of 10,950€ to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), also known as Doctors without Borders.

MSF is an international independent humanitarian medical aid organisation which provides emergency medical aid where needed; regardless of race, religion, politics or gender in more than 60 countries. MSF relies greatly on the support of private donations, which account for 90 percent of its funds, and ensure its independence of action in complex crises.

The donation was presented by Tim Frank, general manager for TNT Express associates in the Middle East with the presence of the marketing, communications and corporate responsibility departments.

Ghada Hatim, Executive Director for MSF’s UAE Regional Office commented: “We are delighted at TNT’s generosity in contributing to MSF’s work within the Middle East region. Their assistance means that our teams can continue to deliver quality medical care to patients caught in conflict.”

This contribution will support MSF in buying all the necessary drugs, dressings and instruments to deliver life saving assistance to 109 wounded, burned or sick patients who have sustained injuries in conflict. The material will be allocated to support MSF’s patients in the Middle East covering Syria, Yemen, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Tim Frank, General Manager for TNT Associates in the Middle East and Indian sub-continent said: “This donation demonstrates our commitment to giving back to the communities in which we operate in. We are pleased to provide our support to MSF helping them in saving lives in areas of conflicts.”
