Follow on Google News | Discovering Deaf Worlds, Inc to Host Second Annual Benefit at Haroo East BallroomRochester, New York based non-profit Discovering Deaf Worlds (DDW) will host its second annual benefit from 6:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday April 20, 2012 at the Harro East Ballroom in Rochester, New York.
Following the success from last year’s benefit, 300 guests are anticipated to attend this cocktail party in celebration of DDW’s recent achievements. DDW’s 2011 Service Provider of the Year Award will be presented to GoPhilanthropic for their outstanding commitment to provide international tours accessible in sign language to the local Deaf community in Rochester, NY. This event is sponsored by The University of Rochester American Sign Language Department, The Post-secondary Education Network International at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Interpretek, Sorenson Communications, and M&T Bank, among others. The evening will conclude with an African drum and dance performance by Rochester-based non-profit, BushMango.
