Take a wild ride on the wrong side of the law with Bluetick & Redbone

OK, Bluetick and Redbone are bad men, but as readers will find out in their Omega Comics Presents debut feature, “In Good Spirits,” the two loveable Texas criminals are honorable sorts who learn the same can't be said about everyone when they find themselves on the wrong end of a double-cross.

Written by Alex De-Gruchy (Dead Men, Hope: The Hero Initiative) with art by mpMann (The Grave Doug Freshley, Inanna's Tears), “In Good Spirits” is a 22-page rollercoaster ride of humor, action and unexpected twists that will leave readers with a hankering for a good whiskey.

Backing up the lead feature is a bombastic, Technicolor, eight-page satire of super-villains by writer Russell Lissau (The Batman Strikes!, Strawberry Shortcake) and artist Justin Castaneda (When I Was Little...), in which a down-on-his-luck mercenary called The Devastator finds everyday life to be as much a challenge as battling superheroes.

Comics Should Be Good enjoyed De-Gruchy’s “The Hero’s Journey” from the first volume, calling it “a cool little superhero story that we probably wouldn't see from one of the Big Two.” Ain’t It Cool News loves the series, declaring “Omega Comics Presents continues to be a powerful anthology featuring some surprisingly talented folks you've more than likely never heard of...yet.” And Bookgasm.com simply demanded “more, please!”
