IAQ Industry Certifications Re-accredited!

April 3, 2012 - PRLog -- Accreditation by one of the three nationally-recognized accreditation organizations is the ultimate credibility that can be bestowed upon a personnel certification program.

The Admissions and Accreditation Committee of the Council for Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards (CESB) recently reviewed the accreditation applications from the American Council for Accredited Certification (ACAC) and recommended the CESB board of directors approve the re-accreditation of the certifications.  Each of these ACAC certifications was accredited by CESB for another five (5) years:

•   Council-certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE)
•   Council-certified Microbial Investigator (CMI)
•   Council-certified Residential Mold Investigator (CRMI)
•   Council-certified Indoor Air Quality Manager (CIAQM)
•   Council-certified Microbial Remediator (CMR)
•   Council-certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor (CMRS)

CESB only accredits certification programs that require candidates have field experience – a significant difference from the other two nationally-recognized organizations.  Currently, ACAC has eighteen (18) specialty programs that are accredited as engineering-related or engineer technician programs.
