Soroptimist International of Stuart Nominates Lauri J. Goldstein for 2012 Women of Distinction Award

April 10, 2012 - PRLog -- The Women of Distinction event is Soroptimist of Stuart’s primary fundraising event that makes all their other programs and awards possible. The 2012 Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon will be held on April 26, 2012 at the Hutchinson Island Marriott Resort.

Proud to have helped the community for 21 years now, Women of Distinction recognizes women in Martin County who have made great contributions to the community. All proceeds from the event will go towards Soroptimist’s ongoing programs such as their newest TRUST program (Teen Relations Using safe Tactics). This program focuses on addressing the rising incidents of teen dating violence and educating young teens on prevention.

In order for a woman to be nominated as a woman of Distinction, she must demonstrate high ethical standards personally, she must be recognized as a role model, she must have a strong sense of community responsibility, and she must have made outstanding contributions within Martin County.

There are four categories in which a woman can be nominated for Women of Distinction and they include: Business/Professional, Civic/Professional, Volunteer, and Rising Star. Attorney Lauri J. The nominees for this category must also be recognized for their outstanding service in their field and significant contributions to the community through their profession.
