Dual-Lite Introduces New Outdoor Rated Central Inverter System – DL3R

April 16, 2012 - PRLog -- GREENVILLE, S.C. – Dual‐Lite, a Hubbell Lighting Inc. brand, is proud to announce the expansion of their central inverter offering with the introduction of the new DL3R Series.  The DL3R is a new outdoor rated central inverter system designed to supply 90 minutes of uninterruptable emergency AC power to LED, Incandescent, Fluorescent and HID luminaires. The single-phase system features both 875 and 1750 VA/W power ratings and is NEMA 3R rated to withstand the typical weather conditions of an outdoor environment.

The DL3R central lighting inverter allows utility power to pass through to the connected load and charges the system batteries. In the case of power interruption, the DL3R system automatically and instantaneously transfers to emergency mode without interruption to connected loads.  This reliable system delivers overload and short-circuit protection to utility-supplied fixtures and is output enabled for normally-on and load switching with 100% load compatibility with any lighting source, including HID.  The off line design also features high efficiency of up to 98%.

The DLR3 is an ideal solution for indoor or outdoor use in transportation, sports stadiums/fields, parks and recreation centers, and parking garages.  Enclosed in a grey powder coated steel cabinet with front door access, the system utilizes three LED status indicators that provide inverter operating mode status and offers an optional keypad and battery heater.  The system can easily be installed on a ground level pad or pole-mounted to deliver an ideal solution for critical outdoor applications that require backup for emergency lighting.
