By: MikeCarter.com St. Charles County's March 17 Republican Party Caucus made national headlines when it ended in two arrests and no GOP delegates awarded. State party officials took notice, and the April 10 caucus do-over went much more smoothly. Mike Carter, candidate for Missouri Lt. Governor, attended both events. "The March 17th venue wasn't expecting such a huge turnout. It swirled with rumors of rampant establishment- Ron Paul won seats for all 147 delegates going to the state and district conventions. Carter was selected as a delegate for both. "The GOP in Missouri is clearly dealing with new and growing forces within the party; the Ron Paul effort is more committed and organized than any party has witnessed in recent history -- even more so than Obama’s ’08 machine. Paul's successes are steadily creeping up in several areas around the country, including Missouri, Minnesota, Colorado, Alaska, Maine, Texas and many more. " Carter asserts that these changes in the GOP have the old guard worried, and that is why local party leaders tried to structure the first St. Charles County caucus in such a way as to control the outcome. That effort was ultimately unsuccessful. The Republican Convention for the 2nd Congressional District will be held this Saturday, April 21. Carter looks forward to attending and supporting Ron Paul. "Paul's approach to privacy rights is exactly what we need, both on the Federal and State levels." http://www.MikeCarter.com Carter is an Independent- # # # Carter is an Independent- Photo: https://www.prlog.org/ End
