April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- Toll Brothers, the nation's leading builder of luxury homes , wants to congratulate Raleigh resident and Hasentree Country Club member Carl Pettersson for his win Sunday at the RBC Heritage golf tournament in Hilton Head, S.C.  Raleigh’s Hasentree is Pettersson’s home course.  Pettersson finished 14-under par in the event.  It was his fifth PGA Tour victory.

“Everyone at Toll Brothers and Hasentree is extremely proud of Carl’s win in Sunday’s RBC Heritage,” said Ryan Switzer, Hasentree’s Senior Project Manager for Toll Brothers.  “To know that Hasentree is the kind of quality golf course that helps Carl sharpen his skills to get ready for a PGA Tour victory says a lot about our group of professionals and staff who keep the course in top condition. Congratulations Carl!”

Petterrson, a 34-year old former N.C. State University golfer, shot a closing 69, finishing five ahead of Zach Johnson and six ahead of Colt Knost.

The Tom Fazio-designed golf course features a 7,074-yard, par-71 layout spread over 7,074 acres of rolling fairways and spectacular greens.  While it offers relatively wide fairways for a relaxing feeling with driver in hand, Fazio has strategically placed 88 steep-faced bunkers in landing areas, tucked them around corners of doglegs and close to slick, sloping greens to test golfer’s skill levels as they play against a backdrop of beautifully framed holes. Toll Brothers purchased Hasentree in 2010.

“We feel that Hasentree offers our members the best experience they can have in a round of golf,” said Switzer.  “To know that you are playing on the same course where a PGA Tour winner practices should add to the challenge and experience.”
