April 18, 2012 - PRLog -- World renowned community innovator Compton Jr. Posse is celebrating 25 years of keeping kids on horses and off the streets with its 5th Annual Fund Raiser Gala and Silent Auction on May 12, 2012 at 6 P.M. at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center Ballroom located at 480 Riverside Dr., Burbank, CA .

In commemoration of remarkable work, Compton Jr. Posse is honoring Sheriff Lee Baca with the Community Visionary Award  and Del Mar Manager/Trainer, Dale Harvey with the Equestrian Excellence Award.

The amazing United States Equestrian Olympic All Stars Will Simpson, Robert Ridland, Gina Miles and Charlotte Bredahl-Baker are enthusiastically coming out to support this unforgettable event.

This is a truly memorable celebration of community merit for the Compton Jr. Posse for using horses in its leadership development program.

For 25 years, Mayisha Akbar, Founder/Executive Director, has continued to provide a safe-haven for at-risk youth, guide both academic and career choices, and to develop an acceptance of socio-economic and cultural diversity through its program services of Ranch Management,Equestrian Riding, Education and Outreach.

This is an extravagant gala that you do not want to miss with red carpet arrivals starting at 5:30 P.M. The silent auction starts at 6 P.M. with dinner promptly starting at 7 P.M., followed by extraordinary entertainment, presentations and recognitions. It will be a joyous celebration in honor of social change in the community.
