Arlington, MA Home Sales Rise, Prices Fall First Quarter 2012

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Home sales in Arlington, Massachusetts increased in Q1 2012 as the median price decreased, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only LLC, the largest exclusive buyer agent real estate firm in Massachusetts. (http://BuyersBrokersOnly.com)

The data were compiled using MLS Property Information Network, Inc, a local multiple listing service.

Single-family home sales in Arlington, MA increased 30 percent in the first quarter of 2012, a difference of nine sales compared to Q1 2011.The median price of single-family homes decreased 12.4 percent in Q1 2012 compared to the previous year, a difference of $66,000.  

The median price of condominiums fell 6.9 percent in Q1 2012, a difference of $24,000 compared to the previous Q1. Condominium sales remained flat in Q1 2012 compared to Q1 2011, with 33 sales in each quarter.

Multi-family home sales fell 33.3 percent in the first quarter of 2012, a difference of two sales compared to Q1 2011. Multi-family home prices dropped 4.1 percent in Q1 2012, a difference of $22,500 compared to Q1 2011.
