New Unique Device Identifier for Android and Windows Phone 7

deprecation of UDID in iOS5 encourage the growth of OpenUDID in open-source community, and a compatible OpenUDID port in Android and Windows Phone 7 platform in launched for standardizing the way to access Unique Device Identifier.
 
April 22, 2012 - PRLog -- As you all know, over the past few weeks, the mobile industry has been dominated by Apple’s announcement to deprecate UDID with iOS5 and many developer selected OpenUDID as the alternate solution.

 In an effort of standardizing the access Unique Device Identifier in different platforms,
leading mobile application research and development company WaveSpread Technology Limited (http://www.wavespread.com) worked to provide the ports in most other common platforms.

and both the Android and WP7 version has introduces a new concept of internal UDID / corpUDID which allow developers to conduce cross app behavior analysis but make the sensitive information useless for third parties

both version are available as open-source, free for commercial usage and developers are welcome to take part making them even better.
