TPE Distributor APS Offers New Extrudable TPEs For Refrigerator Seals

A new extrudable grade of Maxelast TPE is now available from Alliance Polymers and Services, LLC

April 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Alliance Polymers and Services, LLC (APS), North America’s only exclusive TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) distributor, now offers two new extrusion grades from its Maxelast® TPE line.  They have been formulated expressly for refrigerator/freezer and other appliance seals and are offered to replace plasticized seals with phthalates made out of PVC.
According to APS sources, the 2 new extrusion grades in the D01-017G series of TPEs are available in two Shore A hardnesses, 70A and 87A, depending upon the application.
Special features of the two new extrusion grades include a high degree of flexibility, built-in anti-microbial properties and cold and aging resistance.  The new grades were developed to be easy to extrude and are fully colorable.  The absence of phthalates gives processors and marketers to offer refrigerators and freezers with seals that are completely safe.
APS is the exclusive distributor of Maxelast TPEs in North America. Maxelast SEBS-based TPEs are manufactured by Polymax Elastomer Technology Co., Ltd., one of the world’s leading producers of TPEs (thermoplastic elastomers) and TPRs (thermoplastic rubbers).  Maxelast TPEs are currently being used in products being manufactured by leading U.S. and international firms including Buick, Chrysler, Stanley Tools, Nike, Puma, VW, Behr, Samsung and Kia, among many other manufacturers and marketers.
