WellCare Volunteers Help Beautify Tampa Bay

April 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Tampa, Florida (April 23, 2012) — WellCare Health Plans, Inc.  joined Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa! and Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful on Saturday, April 21, to help refresh and restore the Tampa Bay area.

More than 80 WellCare associates, family and friends volunteered in communities across Tampa Bay. This is the fourth year that WellCare has teamed up with Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa! to brighten the day of a deserving Tampa resident, and the second year joining Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful for its Great American Cleanup.

Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, Inc. is the local affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, the nation’s largest volunteer-based community action and education organization. Its mission is to provide environmental education and volunteer opportunities that develop individual responsibility and environmental stewardship. During the Great American Cleanup, volunteers help with roadside and waterway cleanups, invasive plant removal, painting and planting.

Paint Your Heart Out, Tampa! is a city-wide program that enables citizens, businesses, clubs, and organizations to lend a helping hand to low-income, elderly citizens in the local community. For more than 20 years, it has organized local volunteer teams to paint for designated homeowners on its annual Paint Day.
