Follow on Google News | ![]() Boundary Bathrooms Launches New Website RedesignBathroom retailer Boundary Bathrooms has launched a re-design of their boundarybathrooms.co.uk website, focusing on a cleaner more modern look and an emphasis on usability.
The company has dropped the orange and black of the old site and instead introduced a sleek modern blue look that makes the website look less cluttered and is easier on the eyes. Alongside the colour is a brand new logo, while the company slogan ‘Excellence created by the brands’ has changed to ‘Delivering excellence since 1946’ – a slogan that emphasises Boundary Bathrooms long serving life in the bathroom retail industry. Richard Aspden, IT Manager at Boundary Bathrooms and in charge of putting together the new design, explained why it’s all change at the company “Our old design served us well for quite a long while, but change has to come sometime and you can’t stick to the same old look forever when it comes to websites. First impressions are crucial when customers land on your website, so we went for a look that’s easier on the eyes and makes the text – and ultimately our products – standout more.” Usability wise Boundary Bathrooms has implemented a number of changes that both help customers find what they need and gives them further ideas for their perfect bathroom. Richard Aspden again explained “Customers indicated to us that they would like a way to navigate the site better without getting lost in the thousands of products we have, but they would also like to keep the excitement of coming across something new. Due to this we implemented what’s called a ‘breadcrumb trial’. So if you click on to view a wood bath you can easily see which categories you have passed through to get there, such as baths, and then you can simply click on one of those links to see even more products related to your find.” Boundary Bathrooms also believes that customers opinions matter, both to the company and other customers.
