Picks must be made prior to 5pm, April 26th either at the Union Public House or by commenting on Facebook.
By: San Diego Chargers Fan Club of Tucson For those Chargers fans attending the event, a $50 gift certificate to the Union Public House will be awarded to the fan who correctly predicts the player that the Chargers select in the first round of the draft. The Chargers are slated to select at the 18th position. In order to qualify, fan selections must be made prior to 5 PM, April 26th via the San Diego Chargers Fan Club facebook page or by checking in with Charles Lloyd at the Union prior to 5 PM. Also, a fan’s selection cannot be the same player that another Chargers fan already selected – it must be unique. “We just want Chargers fans to unite and have a great time cheering on the Bolts in 2012”, said fan club co-founder Charles Lloyd. “By offering fun contests at great venues like the Union Public House, we’re trying to create a buzz in Tucson that Chargers fans need not cheer for their team alone.” As the season approaches, more contests and events will be planned for Tucson based Chargers fans including prizes such as Chargers game tickets and memorabilia. In addition, organized trips to Chargers games and tailgate parties will be shared with the group through Facebook. “I see the Chargers bolt stickers on cars all over town – I wish I saw more of them on game day when out to watch the Bolts play on Sundays”, said Mark Heckele, Chargers Fan and co-founder of the group. “We hope the turnout will be decent for the draft party. Either way, we’re going to continue to reach out to Chargers fans in the community.” For more information about the San Diego Chargers Fan Club, please visit this site: http://www.facebook.com/ For event information, visit the event page: http://www.facebook.com/ End
