Bend, OR Company Webfoot Painting to Paint 2 Homes for Their $5000 Painting Charity Giveaway

April 26, 2012 - PRLog -- With Spring weather upon us, Webfoot Painting Co, Central Oregon’s 2011 Sub-Contractor of the Year*, has their eyes set on their two giveaway winner’s homes.  On Friday, April 27th Webfoot’s entire staff will arrive at two pre-prepped homes to give them a seriously great paint job using some great products donated by Sherwin Williams.  

With an extremely close vote this year it was decided that two families could be selected as recipients of this year’s giveaway due to the size and scope of their projects.  The winners of the 2012 Webfoot Painting $5000 Painting Charity Giveaway are Dara Hatcher and her son Donte, and Brian Morris.

“With close to 30 nominations this year, all exceedingly worthy of this giveaway, this year was incredible difficult to select a winner” says Webfoot co-owner Gavin Hepp.  “Both Dara and Brian had very heart warming and courageous stories of perseverance through times more difficult than most will ever know and continued day-to-day struggles that deserve honoring.”  

Dara has had a long struggle with cancer and brain tumors.  She lives with her son Donte in a cute home that, in its current state, doesn’t come close to mirroring the spirit and strength of Dara and courage of her son.  Soon, thanks to help from the gals at ORSA Design, they’ll have a bold new look that will clearly state “this is Dara and Donte’s home”.    

Brian, 24 years old, was born with arthrogryposis, which is a condition that hinders limb development within the uterus.  He underwent surgery as a child to attempt to correct the condition but the damage to the nerves was too great and he is now left with limited lower limb mobility.   But this hasn’t held Brian back.  He refuses to accept disability aid and works full time at Safeway to cover his expenses.  Having lost his mother to cancer after a valiant 5 year battle, Brian knows a thing or two about perseverance and courage.  

There’s a lot we can glean from these two young adults.  All those involved are very proud to be able to help these two homeowners with their homes and give them an outward appearance of their home that mirrors their inner strength, beauty, and positive resolve.

Webfoot Painting would like to thank all those that participated and submitted nominations.  They would also like to remind everyone that did not win that next year will bring another opportunity, so they encourage those people to resubmit their nominations next January.  

When the weather improves, the Seriously Great Painters of Bend will attack the exteriors of these two homes with sanders, primer, brushes, and paint donated by Sherwin Williams, yielding two beautifully repainted homes and two very happy and deserving homeowners.

Webfoot Painting began collecting nominations via their website on January 3, 2012 and wrapped up on February 29th.   The only criteria for submitting a nomination was that you have a compelling story of why you feel you or someone else you know and care about, deserves the free painting services.  This is their third year of doing this giveaway.
