Xitron Announces New Interface for Heidelberg Prosetter CtP for Harlequin RIPs & Adobe Print Engine

The Xitron interface provides:
* Support for Windows 7 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems
* Simple connectivity via USB
* Compatibility with Navigator workflow,  Xenith Sierra workflow and Raster Blaster TIFF catcher

The new interface is compatible with Xitron’s full line of workflow products including the Navigator workflow based on Harlequin RIP core technology, Xenith Sierra based on the Adobe PDF Print Engine and Raster Blaster, a TIFF catcher capable of accepting TIFF files from a variety of third-party workflow systems and outputting to any of the hundreds of devices support by Xitron.

Xitron’s Navigator Workflow helps prepress operators increase productivity, manage workflow, and reduce costs. An intuitive interface allows operators to manage their work from a Windows or Macintosh workstation, while directing output production through one or more Harlequin RIPs.

Optional workflow modules allow the Navigator Workflow to create and preflight PDFs; perform ink remapping; and support ROOM proofing to any Xitron and most third-party proofing solution. The Navigator Workflow also offers ink key presetting capabilities with KeySetter, a series of pressroom workflow solutions to connect the prepress department and pressroom together.
