By: StopPress PR "The Revolution will not be Online” is a a breathe of fresh air, its a Sign of the Times, a Zeitgeist protest song, a State of the Art address, and an observation of the shallowness of Internet culture dominated by Artists and Organisations whose quest for domination of the Internet is only matched by paucity of their content and product. When Tim Young was explaining "Gil Scott Herons" Classic Rap the "Revolution will not be televised" to a group of students. he realised that a lot of the references in the song meant nothing to them as they were 70's specific. So he decided to write an updated version to bring it up to date he posted his new lyric online. A few days later JC Carroll, a musician composer and performer spotted this on a friends Facebook page. A light bulb went off inside his head, the words fitted perfectly on a tune he had recorded recently for his future blues project. (21st century Blues) So JC got in touch with Tim and said could he use the words on a recording .Tim said yes and can I make the video. So within a week a Global "Collab" was born. A Collab is a piece of work done online between musicians and artists. Often these people have never been in a room together or indeed spoken which make the project internet specific and the content part of a collective global artistic intelligence. An Original electronic music was made by Jerry Miller aKA Zone Music Inc AKA JerriZ and embellished and adapted by JC to become first a tune called the Truth and then with Tim (And Gils) contribution.
