Flevy Launches a Marketplace for Business Documents

April 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Flevy, the marketplace for selling business documents, just pre-launched today.  These business documents can range from Excel Financial Models to customizable PowerPoint Templates to "How-To" Business Frameworks.

In its pre-launch stage, Flevy is inviting business professionals to join.  Just as Apple's mobile apps market has created significant, passive income for many software developers, Flevy hopes to achieve the same for business professionals, such as consultants, investment bankers, marketers, and others.

Flevy was founded by David Tang, who worked in the management consulting industry for 6 years previously.  "In consulting, firms are always rehashing the same documents for different clients," says Tang.  "And, for the larger firms, we maintain internal knowledge management repositories of business documents to be re-used and referenced for future projects. These experiences sparked the idea of starting Flevy."

Flevy was founded under the principle that companies waste a lot of time and money recreating the same foundational business documents. The vision is for Flevy to become a comprehensive knowledge base of business documents. All organizations, from startups to large enterprises, can use Flevy--whether it's to jumpstart projects, to find reference or comparison materials, or just to learn.
