Entries Are Now Open For The Inaugural New Zealand Travel Industry Awards 2012

New Zealand Travel Industry Awards (NZTIA) CEO Adrian Caruso says, “the Awards will act as a development opportunity for skills and professionalism, and play an integral role in encouraging and rewarding excellence, innovation and commitment in the industry.”

Individuals and businesses are invited to enter the Awards from Tuesday 1 May 2012 (NZST 9:00am) to Thursday 31 May 2012 (NZST 5:00pm). People working in the New Zealand travel industry may self-nominate, or nominate another business or individual. Entry is free of charge, via the online form at www.nztravelindustryawards.co.nz
There are 30 award categories that individuals and businesses from all areas of the travel industry can choose to enter. The categories will range from ‘Best Travel Agency Group’ to ‘Best Travel Consultant or Broker’ to ‘Best Wholesaler’ and ‘Best Sales Executive’.

“The awards will be the only event in the New Zealand travel industry where Agency Groups can go head to head with other Agency Groups, consultants and brokers from different brands can compete against others, and travel suppliers can go up against their competitors,” says Mr. Caruso.

People working in the New Zealand travel industry will be able to vote for the award nominees. Those with the highest number of votes will progress to the judging phase, where they will present before a panel of expert travel industry judges.

The NZTIA aims to inspire and challenge travel agencies, airlines, suppliers, tour operators and more, to reflect on their business practices and make them the best of the best.

The winners will be announced and honoured at the New Zealand travel industry premier event, the NZTIA Gala Dinner to be held on Saturday 1st September 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand.
