May 6, 2012 - PRLog -- With the liberalization of majority of the U.S. population, recent polls on same sex marriage have revealed a positive change in the public’s perception and acceptance of the deed.

Back in 2001, Americans had adamantly opposed same-sex marriage at a ratio of 57:35. But at present, the figures have transformed to 43% against and 47% for gay and lesbian marriages. This is the highest it’s ever been since the legalization of the marriage records. And today, there are already 10 states in America that allow these ceremonies to take place. These are California, Iowa, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Oregon, Connecticut, New York, Vermont and just recently, Washington and Maryland.

Aside from the support of the incumbent President, much of this reform is owed to how the current generation has embraced the idea and how various religious sectors have gone out of their standard doctrines to understand and respect the basic human rights of their fellow men. According to statistics, the number of supporters has risen among different age groups and religious communities over the past three years, with only the white Evangelicals and black Protestants keeping a conservative stand in relation to the concept. The Democrat party has also intensified their campaign for the ratification of same sex marriage records compared to ten years ago while the Republicans have remained mum about the issue at this point.

As for the divorce records, same sex marriages have been found to be more enduring than heterosexual marriages. Marriage Record Search, an online record retrieval company, confirms that a 2011 research has revealed a significant disparity between the effectiveness of gay and straight unions. Out of the 750,000 same-sex couples that were married or registered in a civil union during the year, only 1% had dissolved their relationship. This was lower than the 2% divorce rate of the total number of married straight couples in the country. It was also observed that the divorce statistics in states that banned gay marriages were higher over the past five years than those who supported them – raising correlations between gay marriages and stability.

Marriage Records Search, however, does not only extend marriage and divorce records recovery services to a specific demographic. It caters to anyone and everyone in the country who needs information and delivers nationwide.
