Mitchell to lead the study group due to what the Board describes as “Rev. Mitchell’s outwardly enthusiastic appreciation and vivid understanding of the life-guiding principles of ‘A Course in Miracles’. Our board has been deeply impressed with Rev. Mitchell’s frequent participation in workshops we have conducted at our church during the past several years with such internationally- Rev. Keith Arland Mitchell was ordained in October 2003 into the non-denominational Reunification Church In The Order of Melchizedek in North Carolina (http://esoterism.ro/ The Unity in the Foothills church welcomes individuals and families to their church and worship services Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. St. Laurent commented, “It is our belief that as a ministry, we are here to assist each other in realizing why we have been called to this specific church, and we offer a supportive environment of practical, spiritual teachings to help each other empower ourselves with abundant and meaningful living. The teachings of ‘A Course in Miracles’ has been an element to our spiritual programs for the past four years, and we feel very blessed to have the exciting, fresh insights of Rev. Mitchell to help us learn, practice and integrate a great deal more into our lives. The very first class he led on May 1st was abundant with rich understandings and revelations for every attendee, including Rev. Mitchell himself.” St. Laurent continued, “Unity provides a philosophy that is spiritual, not religious and based on love, not fear. That is a foundational principle of “A Course in Miracles” as well. During his initial ACIM class with us, Rev. Mitchell repeatedly emphasized ‘The Course’ teaching that each individual has the ability to choose love over fear in everything they do in life every minute of every day. It was a liberating, freeing insight, and attendees are anxiously waiting for our next exciting class with Rev. Mitchell.” In their welcoming letter to visitors to the Unity in the Foothills the Board of Trustees state, “Unity honors all paths to God and believes in making a positive difference in the world by being an affirmative example and role model. As a result, we are involved in spiritual social action and social activities whenever possible. We are inclusive and open-minded, holistic and intuitive, and encourage personal initiative and growth by addressing all areas of physical and spiritual existence albeit individual or social.” Founded by Rev. Bonny Ashe and Christopher Ashe (now retired), on January 11th, 2004 as a recognized pioneering ministry of the Association of Unity Churches, the Unity in the Foothills church is affiliated with Unity Worldwide Ministries.
