Follow on Google News | Nottingham Estate Agent launches school painting competition in CarringtonGO Property Services have kicked off a campaign to promote businesses in and around Carrington, Nottingham. The ‘Keep it in Carrington’ campaign will be spreading the word around Carrington to promote business in the area.
By: GO Property Services Ltd To start the campaign off the children at Carrington Primary School have been involved in a competition to design the “Keep it in Carrington” logo. After a brilliant response the entries have been narrowed down to 6 and they are being displayed in the shops in the local area where customers can vote for their favourite. The votes are being collected in on Friday 18th May when the winners will be announced and the winning logo will the be adapted for print and committed to 2500 bags-for-life that are being printed in time for the Sherwood Festival in June. Jonathan Detheridge from GO Property Services commented “it is hoped that ‘Keep it in Carrington’ grabs the attention of the local public. There are some great little businesses in Carrington that nobody knows about so we hope that the campaign helps them get noticed. We want to foster some community spirit so we’re talking to the residents association and getting involved with the local school. The whole ethos of Keep it in Carrington is to keep money and jobs within the community. The more people spend locally, the stronger the local economy is and everyone benefits. If everyone shops outside the area businesses won’t survive, and there will be less choice and amenities, and Carrington will be a worse place for it. We hope that Keep it in Carrington makes a difference” End
