Follow on Google News | Youth Actors Academy Summer Camp Ready to Train Children & Teens in South FloridaThe Actor's Rep Youth Actors Academy Summer Camp is for children and teens with a love for acting, theatre, singing and who have a desire to learn from top area professionals.
By: Bob Carter's Actor's Workshop & Repertory Co. Both full day and half-day programs will culminate in a theatrical showcase or one act musical. Theatre Camp (Acting Emphasis): June 11th-July 6th (no class on 7/4) Morning classes will include Physical Acting (types of movement, technique, and warm-ups), Voice and Diction (including inflection, breathing, and articulation) Afternoon classes will focus on scene and monologue work for the showcase. NEW THIS YEAR! Musical Theatre Camp: July 9th –August 3rd Morning classes will include our traditional program of Physical Acting, Voice and Acting Exercises. Afternoon classes will focus on singing and choreography. This camp session will culminate in a one act musical production!! This is a class designed with our youngest actors in mind! Children will be introduced to the magical world of theatre through improvisation, creative movement, theatre games, physical and vocal exploration. Storybook Theatre Age Group (5-7) Dates There will be two separate 4-week sessions. Session I: June 11th thru July 6th (no camp on 7/4) Session II: July 9th thru Aug 3rd Hours Monday, Wednesday & Friday 9:00 a.m. – Noon Theatre Camp (Acting Emphasis) Age Groups 8 – 12 and 13 – 17 Dates June 11th thru July 6th (Showcase 7/6) Musical Theatre Camp Age Groups 8 – 12 and 13 – 17 Dates July 9th thru August 3rd (One Act Musical 8/2) Hours Full Day Program: 9:00am – 5:00pm (with one hour lunch break provided) Morning Program: 9:00am – 12:30pm Afternoon Program: 1:30pm – 5:00pm What to Bring, and Drop Off/Pick Up Logistics: Please see website at www.actorsrep.org Cost: $900 per child or teen for the full day program per 4-week session $600 per child or teen for half-day program, mornings or afternoons per 4-week session $200 per child for Storybook Theatre per 4-week session For each family there is a single lifetime registration fee of $35. Also a $100 deposit per participant (included in tuition) is required, if registering in advance. Both are non-refundable and payable at time of enrollment. Remainder of tuition is due the first day of classes.
