William Malcolm Has Been Named A Molina Healthcare Of Michigan 2012 Community Champions Award

William is the founder and lead creative designer for William Malcolm Luxe Collection a classic menswear fashion label. His designs are inspired by the classic men’s styling and intelligent tailoring of the early 1930’s through the mid 20th century.

William has founded three nonprofit initiatives: The Suit Project a nonprofit organization that mentors life skills, community service commitment, interview preparation, educational advancement and personal brand exploration to young men.  The William Malcolm Man of Style & Substance Contest which provides mentoring and scholarships to Metro Detroit area high school seniors and The Blue Tie Project  a prostate cancer awareness initiative in which he donates revenues from the sale of his specially designed blue ties to prostate cancer research organizations.

William was also named as an honorary Board member to the White House supported initiative titled 2011Year of the Responsible Man.

Established to honor the memory of Dr. Molina, the Community Champions program spotlights the good deeds of everyday heroes in their communities.  The 2012 winners are recognized in several categories: education; healthcare media; civic leader; faith-based organization; advocacy leader; support groups/service clubs and volunteer.  Each winner also receives a $1000 grant to give to a deserving nonprofit organization as part of his/her award.   William has indicated that he will donate his grant to the Man Of Style And Substance Scholarship Contest for Metro Detroit area high school senior males.
