Cary, NC Plastic Surgeon Offers Liposuction Option that Provides Faster Recovery and Better Results

PAL is performed using a special cannula that produces tiny, rapid vibrations to break up fat cells as they are suctioned out of the body. In a study led by the Department of Dermatology at Tulane University Health Sciences Center, researchers found that 30 percent more fat was removed with PAL than with manual liposuction, while bruising and recovery time were significantly reduced.

Because the PAL takes less time to perform than manual liposuction, patients are less susceptible to complications and safety risks. Patients report many long-term benefits of fat removal with liposuction. In a research study evaluating the results of over 400 power-assisted liposuction patients, it was found that the incidence of complications was less than half the rate in a similar group who underwent ultrasound-assisted liposuction.

An anonymous female patient who recently had removal of fat deposits in her thighs and lower back with the PAL said, “Lipo was a piece of cake and I had very minimal bruising.”
