Lawrence Tech New Home for Social Media Made Easy LIVE

May 15, 2012 - PRLog -- The Collegiate Entrpreneurial Organization (C.E.O.), Lawrence Technological University (LTU) Chapter is a student run, business oriented club advised by Professor Don Reimer. Focused on business owners, potential business owners and people who have a passion for entrepreneurship and learning. "We are pleased to partner with Social Media Made Easy Detroit because our students find their monthly training sessions to be not only informative but relevant and timely" said Sybil Hill, Coordinator C.E.O. Club.

The first Tuesday of each month from 7p - 9p, students and entrepreneurs converge from all over metro Detroit to learn what's new and what's out in the world of social media. Facilitator Versandra Kennebrew presents a pre-scheduled lesson via PowerPoint and then invites seminar participants to access their own social networking pages on their mobile devices or laptops and practice what they have learned. Homework assignments are given before each session's end and networking among the group is encouraged.

Past participants include; salon owners, trash haulers, musicians, artists, health enthusiasts and MLM professionals. The June session "Like Page vs Personal Page" is designed to help entrepreneurs learn the differences between personal and professional profiles on Facebook and how the wrong page can have your spinning your wheels on-line. Participants will discuss their favorite "Like" pages and why they seek out and support these businesses.

"Old-school" entrepreneurs sometimes find it difficult to embrace new technology and with social media changing so often, on-going support from entrepreneurs who are ready to upgrade is a plus. Social Media Made Easy Live facilitator, Versandra Kennebrew is an author, speaker and massage therapist. She has used social media since 2005 to engage customers as far as Montreal Canada. Her goal is to help Detroit area entrepreneurs get up to speed with their on-line marketing and sales by providing a social media news and information blog, mobile app and monthly live training.
