Polsinelli Shughart Expands Real Estate Finance Capabilities in St. Louis

May 16, 2012 - PRLog -- ST. LOUIS  -- National law firm Polsinelli Shughart PC welcomes attorney Alice E. Jennett as an associate in the firm’s St. Louis office. Jennett will concentrate her practice on real estate finance, affordable housing, and tax credit law. She also advises clients on various real estate issues regarding the acquisition, development, and financing of commercial, senior, and multi-family residential property.

Led by Practice Area Chair, Janice E. Hetland, the firm’s Tax Credit Finance and Development group has a nationwide presence, with vast knowledge and industry experience regarding development and finance of projects utilizing federal historic tax credits, federal new markets tax credits (both as equity investments and as loans), federal energy tax credits and federal low- income housing tax credits. Jennett will work closely with equity investors, developers, lenders and tax credit allocatees in a variety of real estate matters involving federal, state and local tax credits and incentives, including new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits and low-income housing tax credits.

Jennett received her LL.M. in taxation from Washington University in May 2011. She graduated cum laude with her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2010. During law school she was actively involved in Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, as well as the Women Law Students’ Association. Jennett also holds a bachelor of arts in criminal justice, with a minor in psychology from Saint Louis University, where she graduated summa cum laude in 2007. Jennett is a member of the St. Louis Metropolitan Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She is an avid runner and has participated in many races throughout the St. Louis area.
