By: SGS Global Enerjisa (Joint Venture of Sabanci Holding and Verbund) has appointed SGS to conduct performance testing of ancillary services provided by four natural gas combined-cycle power plants located in Adana, Mersin, Canakkale and Bandirma in Turkey. SGS expert testing will determine regulatory compliance of these services. Since obtaining accreditation in February 2011, SGS, the only approved provider of this service in Turkey, has been administering on-site tests at the aforementioned power plants. SGS Testing Compliant to current regulations, SGS provides regular, periodic testing in three-year intervals. Present standards require that every power plant adapting additional technical services submit a certificate as evidence of its capability to render such services and of its adherence to the regulated criteria.
