Follow on Google News | Le Thrift Consignment, the Trendy, upscale Chicago boutique celebrates first anniversary. The unique blend of merchandise and repeat customers are the two primary reasons for the success of Le Thrift during this recessionary period.
By: Le Thrift Christine Sanderson founder of Le Thrift believes it is the blend of merchandise that consists of items from local designers along with consignment merchandise with labels such as Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Burberry, Prada, BCBG and J.Crew that draws customers to her boutique. She is quick to point out that, “First time customers like what they find so much that they become repeat customers, and I thank them for their loyalty.” The trendy boutique has become more than a regular stopping place for Chicago women who need to dress with both style and budget in mind. This popular shop has enough eye appeal that is was selected by the producer of the upcoming reality TV Series soon to be aired on cable, to be one of the Chicago locations where the series was shot. The Le Thrift concept was started because Sanderson who was a working mom lost her job in the heights of the recession. “What’s a girl, to do,” she lamented as she tried to find a solution to her challenge. She took her background in fashion, art and design, and her meager pocketbook to thrift and consignment shops in search of stylish clothes suitable for her career. Soon Christine realized that there were countless women in her situation and an idea was born. The result is the Le Thrift concept and brand that provides a place for women on a budget to find accessories and apparel that make a style statement and launched Le Thrift.com in 2009. LeThrift.Com was so successful that in May 2011 Sanderson mirrored her virtual Le Thrift into a bricks and mortar Le Thrift Consignment Boutique. In addition Sanderson reaches out to the community and works with not-for-profits such as Bridge to Success and Catholic Charities Emergency Assistance Program. Contact Le Thrift to see how your charity can raise money through selling clothing or a special promotion. Today Le Thrift does business both on line at http://www.lethrift.com and at 1754 West Division Street Chicago, IL. End
