PRLog -- TRUNC will host the only Clark County NV Congressional District 4 Debate on Tuesday, May 22, 2012. The five strongest GOP candidates running for CD 4, (a new Nevada Congressional district added due to re-redistricting)
are NV State Senator Barbara Cegavske, Dan Schwartz, Danny Tarkanian, Kenneth Wegner. & Kiran Hill. The debate location is Aliante Casino/Hotel 6:30 pm. The CD4 Congressional race is heating up as there is just over a week left before early voting begins. This debate will be the last chance for voters to get a clear idea who each of these candidates are as they face each other head on. TRUNC (TEA Party & Republicans Uniting Nevada Conservatives)
believes it is important for voters to hear from the Republican candidates who are asking for their vote. Attendees to the debate will learn how each candidate stands on the issues before casting their vote in the Primary. Early voting is May 26th-June 8th, and official Election Day is June 12, 2012. Having the candidates side by side answering a variety of questions will help voters determine the candidate that best reflects their values and stance on important Nevada and US issues. The new Congressional seat is sought by both parties and is a very significant race. The Republican primary winner will face NV Senator Steven Horsford (D) in the general election. Both Parties are hoping to claim victory and will be a substantial win for which party takes it. A panel of distinguished Nevadans has been chosen to pose questions to the candidates: Geoff Lawrence of NPRI, UNLV Associate Political Science Professor David Damore, Syndicated National Radio Host Jerry Doyle, Niger Innis of C.O.R.E. (Congress of Racial Equality) and Alan Stock of KDWN Radio. Mitch Fox, PBS Host of Nevada Week in Review will moderate. A straw poll will be taken on-site immediately following the debate to determine which candidate the attendees “would vote for if the election were held today’.
