Ultrapure Water-Asia Planned for July 4-5 at SIWW

May 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Registration is open for the 2012 ULTRAPURE WATER-Asia conference here July 4-5 that will be co-located at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) at the Marina Bay Sands.  The theme for this year’s meeting is “Asian Water Technology Developments and Business Opportunities”.  

ULTRAPURE WATER-Asia will include a Business Forum and Technology Forum.  Conference attendees will have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals involved with high-purity water, as well as to learn industry developments and treatment technology trends from a panel of international experts active in the field in Asia, and worldwide.

The Business Forum will feature a keynote address by Mr. Harry Seah, director of the Technology and Water Quality Office for the Singapore PUB, who will address the topic of sustainable water supplies.  Other planned Business Forum presentations will include Ms. Christina Fang of Dow Water examining the state of the Asian Water Market, and a talk by Mr. Nikolay Voutchkov of Water Globe Consulting on global desalination water treatment markets and business opportunities.  

The UPW Technology Forum will feature technical presentations on important topics related to high-purity water treatment in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and power generation industries.  Dr. David Blackford of Fluid Measurement Technologies will examine the ITRS and SEMI guidelines for high-purity water treatment related to particle measurement, while Mr. Joseph Lander of Duraflow will review challenges of recycling cooling tower blowdown to a power plant.  Mr. Morris Teo of SWAN Analystiche will give a paper on ultraviolet oxidation in semiconductor water, while Mr. Rongaiang Fu of Siemens Pte. Will examine power generation using acidific and alkaline wastewaters.  Other Technology Forum topics will include presentations on reverse osmosis, desalination, condensate polishing, electrodeionization, and ion exchange water treatment technologies.

The conference is sponsored by Tall Oaks Publishing, publisher of ULTRAPURE WATER journal and INDUSTRIAL WATER TREATMENT.  This is the second year for a co-located ULTRAPURE WATER-Asia at the SIWW.  The 2011 conference was conducted at the Sun Tec Centre.
