May 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Pharad recently developed an exciting new, customizable option for their wearable antenna line: quick disconnect cabling. The new option allows the user to easily connect/disconnect the antennas located within the clothing from the radio without having to screw-in/unscrew the connectors. In addition, if the antenna cable is pulled or caught on an object, connectors within the cabling will snap apart allowing the user to pass freely through their surroundings. The configuration is achieved via the addition of special quick release connectors within the cabling.

“Our new, quick disconnect option for our wearable antennas is one way Pharad alleviates the challenge of realizing a covert personal communications system that is both easy to install and does not impede user mobility,” said Pharad President Austin Farnham. “The patented design of Pharad’s wearable antennas provides a covert alternative to unwieldy whip or stub antennas. This additional option for our wearable products enables quick/easy installation that we believe makes these systems more user friendly. We now have customers taking advantage of this quick disconnect option, and these antennas are field proven, providing mission critical connectivity for users in tactical environments.”
