May 23, 2012 - PRLog -- The two seventh graders were chosen for Top Gun due to their performance at the Football University Camp recently held in Toronto, where Arruda also took home the award for best defensive lineman.
Top Gun is not a regular camp. It is only for the best of the best. To be eligible, an athlete must be chosen from among the top 15% of athletes at his regional camp and be specifically invited.
Headlining Top Gun will be more than 50 former NFL coaches and players, instructing the FBU campers with a focus on individual, small-group and technical instructional settings. Now entering its fourth year, FBU Top Gun will feature the next generation of football talent, including future U.S. Army All-Americans, college stars, and NFL stars.
Football University was started by the founders of the U.S. Army All American Bowl. The invitation-only camps are for elite level players in grades 6-8 and 9-11. Camps are held in 40 cities across North America and conducted by former NFL coaches and players.
