West of the Moon ATA Brings Taekwondo to Prairie Point Elementary School

West of the Moon ATA taught a martial arts class for 50 physical education students at Prairie Point Elementary School.

May 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Physical education students at Prairie Point Elementary School were treated to a special martial arts class during their regular gym time.  The class was taught by Nick Zorn, a 4th degree black belt at West of the Moon ATA.  Zorn is a four-time state champ in Taekwondo.

"It was a fantastic experience working with such an energetic group of kids," Zorn said.

Approximately 50 Prairie Point students participated in the class arranged by P.E. teacher Sue Warren.  After a brief warm-up and stretches, students learned how to perform punches, kicks and some basic self-defense.

Students that enjoyed the brief lesson were encouraged to consider taking a class at West of the Moon.  Not only is Taekwondo a great way for kids to stay in shape, but it's also an excellent environment for them to learn discipline, respect and other essential life skills.

Parents interested in enrolling their kids in summer martial arts classes should visit West of the Moon ATA at Orchard Rd and Mill Rd in Oswego.
