The Owl Has Returned to the Gold Coast

May 27, 2012 - PRLog -- In March of 2011 Hooters of Mermaid Beach unexpectedly closed its doors due to a fire. After a much anticipated wait, the world famous brand finally makes its way back to the Gold Coast.

This time the owl is landing in Surfers Paradise and Hooters will be positioned on the Esplanade with an entrance on Cavill Avenue. The famous restaurant is scheduled to open mid-July and will be complete with a walkway bar overlooking the beach and plenty of flat screen TVs to watch your favourite sports live.

“We are very excited to be back on the Gold Coast. The Hooters brand fits well with the beach culture and we enjoy the community and atmosphere,” said CEO Morney Schlebusch.

“Moving to Surfers Paradise will be great exposure for our brand and we hope to see our Mermaid Beach customers back as well.”

The menu consists of large racks of ribs, juicy steaks, and of course world famous wings. For the first time in Australia, Hooters will be open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
