The update to RES Software’s leading enterprise desktop management solution improves the key features found in RES Workspace Manager 2011, while offering new functionality. Most notably, RES Workspace Manager 2012 now features relay server capabilities, which provide even better support for complex and disparate environments, reduce the volume of network traffic, and offer functionality not found in other desktop management solutions.

IT administrators can select from and combine three modules of RES Workspace Manager 2012 – Composition & Personalisation, Advanced Administration, and Security & Performance, with the relay server component available across all modules. The relay server acts as a middleman between the agent and the backend datastore. IT administrators can daisy-chain multiple relay servers together, which lends itself perfectly to cloud-based projects.

RES Workspace Manager 2012 also includes the functionality for IT administrators to intercept and manage applications without the need to alter shortcuts, reducing the time needed to be spent, and integration with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager.
