Musician Zebidy Tank Continues To Make An Impact On Rock Scene With Release Of Domina

May 30, 2012 - PRLog -- Renowned Australian-born musician Zebidy Tank’s latest EP Domina is now available for free download at droptank.bandcamp.com/.  Forming her band Drop Tank in 2008, Zebidy has focused on creating her unique brand of rock and roll which integrates rock, pop and punk music.

Within the past two years Drop Tank has been consistently pumping out music, releasing their other featured EP’s Drop Tank in 2010 and Vice in 2011, and in 2012 Zebidy is excited to for the music world’s response to Domina.

“The high energy songs are born out of instrumental jams in the mad, dilapidated world of the crumbling building we inhabit,” said Zebidy.  “We try to just let songs happen organically without trying to second guess how they're supposed to sound.  I think this keeps them sounding more connected to the initial frantic energy that spawns them when we get in the rehearsal room.”

What continues to separate Zebidy and Drop Tank from the countless up-and-coming rock and pop bands is their ability to transform their passion into music and continually defy the ‘norms’ of rock music.  Zebidy’s music has been likened to the 1970s School of Rock and Motorhead genre, incorporating contemporary themes and melodies with their own interpretation and twist of pop.

Since coming together, Drop Tank has made a strong impact on the Australian music scene, playing at the largest underground Channel party in Sydney.  Additionally, they have had the privilege of performing at Metalstock, the Sydney Fringe Festival, Gaelic Club, Annandale Hotel and Oxfords Arts Factory.

Their ability to produce unique music and deliver an unforgettable show each time they take the stage has allowed Drop Tank to establish their name in the rock and punk scene.  
Zebidy is adamant about continuing to share her music, and going forward in 2012 she is anxious to get on the road and introduce her sound on an international level.  

To aspiring musicians, Zebidy adds, “Find your niche, and play with as many people as possible.  Having a great network of friends and musicians within the industry can be very advantageous, and although you will have to make sacrifices along your journey, they will pay off in the end.”
