20 Hospitality Students to intern with The Coca-Cola Company at London Olympics

20 students from the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality Administration have been selected to intern with The Coca-Cola Company at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
 
June 1, 2012 - PRLog -- ATLANTA – Twenty students from the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business have been selected to intern with The Coca-Cola Company at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, beginning July 27.

Students will serve in various capacities with the venue operations division of The Coca-Cola Company, a worldwide partner of the London Olympic Games and the longest continuous corporate partner of the Olympic Games.

“The Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality strives to offer experiences outside the classroom so our students can apply their learning in real-world settings,” said its director, Debby Cannon. “This internship program with Coca-Cola in London is yet another hands-on opportunity provided by the school.”

“We are grateful to The Coca-Cola Company for this opportunity,” said Robinson Dean H. Fenwick Huss. “And we are honored to have students from the School of Hospitality represent the Robinson College in London during this gathering of nations.”

Named in honor of the late founder of Days Inn Hotel Company, the Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality is the oldest and largest program of its type in the state of Georgia and ranks among the top 20 hospitality programs in the nation.
