Raleigh Eye Center To Give Away LASIK Procedure On Facebook

June 1, 2012 - PRLog -- Raleigh Eye Center (REC), the Triangle's leader in laser vision correction for more than thirty years, is giving away a LASIK procedure during the month of June. Facebook users can enter the "Visually Challenged Moment" contest, by creating a 30-60 second audio or video clip. The clip should showcase a unique and humorous visually challenged moment. The entry clips will be posted on Facebook so they may be voted on by fans and friends of those who enter. The winning video will be used to create Raleigh Eye Center's newest "Visually Challenged Moment" radio advertisement.

LASIK, which stands for Laser Assisted Stromal In-situ Keratomileusis, is a surgical procedure that uses laser energy to reshape the eye's cornea. By reshaping the cornea, vision is improved and the need for glasses or contact lenses is eliminated or reduced. Dr. James Kiley, REC LASIK surgeon, has over 30 years of eye surgery experience and has performed more than 8000 refractive procedures.

REC begain their "Visually Challenged Moment" radio campaign in January. "We have received excellent feedback from patients who were considering having surgery elsewhere and decided to come to us because of our fun ads" said Kelley Malin, LASIK Coordinator. "We look forward to seeing what our fans come up with" added Malin.

"Not only will this contest provide someone with a life improving procedure, it will also spotlight their creativity," said James Kiley, REC LASIK Surgeon. "We are looking forward to seeing and hearing the videos that are created by those that enter."
