Precision Walls Earns NCDOL Safety Awards

June 5, 2012 - PRLog -- Precision Walls, Inc, one of the nation’s premier wall and ceiling contractors, was recently recognized at the North Carolina Department of Labor’s (NCDOL) annual awards ceremony in Charlotte for excellence in maintaining safety records and promoting health and safety in the workplace.

Safety is Precision Walls’ number one concern. Ongoing employee engagement and commitment to safety at all branch locations resulted in Precision Walls receiving a total of five safety awards.      

Precision Walls’s 2011 NCDOL Safety Awards include:

Certificate of Safety Achievement - 1st Year Silver – Greenville branch
Certificate of Safety Achievement - 5th Consecutive Year – Greensboro branch
Certificate of Safety Achievement - 5th Consecutive Year – Wilmington branch
Certificate of Safety Achievement - 6th Consecutive Year – Triangle branch
Certificate of Safety Achievement - 6th Consecutive Year – Charlotte branch

The NCDOL Safety Awards Program recognizes private firms and public agencies throughout North Carolina that achieve and maintain exceptional safety records. The program is designed to encourage interest in accident prevention and to promote safety in the workplace by providing an incentive to employers and employees to maintain a safe and healthful workplace.

To qualify for an NCDOL annual safety award a company must meet the following requirements:  (1) it must have had no fatalities at the job site during the calendar year for which the award is given and (2) it must have maintained either a perfect safety record for that year, or an incidence rate at least 50 percent below the average for its industry group.
