June 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Jason Jefferson will take a break from his shop duties at Gene Price Motorsports this weekend and get back behind the wheel of the Dave Reed Racing/Voli Spirits sponsored Ford Fusion at Magic Valley Speedway in Twin Falls, Idaho. Jefferson is set to make his first start in the CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series.

Jefferson is no stranger to the third-mile paved oval at Magic Valley having competed in several events in the now defunct NASCAR NW Tour. Jefferson has more than 100 wins on the regions short tracks and Magic Valley Speedway has been a good track for the Washington native who now calls Parker, AZ home.

"I have wanted to compete in the RMCS for years but have not had the right opportunity," Jefferson said. "Dave Reed has put together a really good team and this is a great chance for us to sort our new car out. Magic Valley is a fun little race track and the fans are some of the best."

The CarbonX Rocky Mountain Challenge Series is a racers series inverting the top 20 from qualifying for the feature race. "We know the car is fast but still need to work on a few things," Jefferson offered. "The RMCS is a great series and I look forward to their format. This race will be a good test for the team and I know Ty (Sunkel, crew chief) is up for the challenge and I can't wait to race this weekend."

While Jefferson will pilot the #15 entry, Dave Reed's enthusiasm for racing is propelling this team forward. "Jason gave the car a good run at Vegas I know he will be even better this weekend," Reed said.

"We know we have our work cut out for us," Jefferson offered. "We learned a lot about this car at Vegas and we hope we can give the Voli Ford a great finish this weekend."

Jefferson will also run this car in the Montana 200 in July and the G.E.T Rich 212 in August. "We want to let people know about these races," Jefferson stated. "Montana offers some great short track racing and both fans and competitors will enjoy the experience in Montana." For complete event details log onto http://www.montanaracewaypark.com.

The team will also compete in select SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour races the rest of season as well as participate in marquee events like the Nashville 400 in Nashville, TN and the Snowball Derby in Pensacola, FL later this year.
