Woodbridge Basketball Association Launches in Vaughan Ontario!

Woodbridge Basketball Association is pleased to announce their Grand Opening in Woodbridge, Ontario with the launch of their skills training camps, house leagues and rep teams for both boys and girls ages 5-16.  Woodbridge Basketball is an organization that focuses on teaching the fundamental skills of basketball with an emphasis on having fun in a structured team environment.

Woodbridge Basketball Association (WBA) is a not-for-profit basketball association in Vaughan, founded to help young athletes to develop their basketball skills, social and team player skills both on and off the basketball court.  We encourage our young athletes to learn the basic skills in the proper technical sense, to be able to reach higher levels in their basketball development.  The fundamentals of good sportsmanship, respect for fellow teammates, opposing teams, coaches, fans and officials will help our basketball players develop a good character and life skills they will use later in life.
WBA is very unique as a basketball association in Vaughan in that it will incorporate a health and nutrition program into all its programs. We will provide healthy eating clinics, guidelines and individual consultations for families and players to encourage dietary and lifestyle habits conducive to young athletes and their physical needs specific to the demands of the game of basketball. This program will be run by Dr. Janine Bowring, author of The Healthy Millionaire, one of the co-founders of WBA and a naturopathic doctor who has worked with athletes in her naturopathic practice over the past 15 years.
We hope to see all interested parents and players at our Grand Opening Launch on June 23rd  from 12-3pm! We will be hosting a FREE 3 on 3 tournament, skills training and fun basketball games for the younger participants. We will have a cake and ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by the Mayor of Vaughan, Maurizio Bevilacqua, and Regional Councillors, Gino Rosati and Deb Schulte.
