Former WWF/WWE Tag Team Champ “Ax”, Half Of Demolition, Announced For WrestleCade

June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Uncle Frank's Championship Wrestling has announced that "Ax" has agreed to appear at WresleCade 2012. Tracy Myers, the brainchild behind WrestleCade and UFCW, shared the news via a press conference  this morning.

"Ax is a true wrestling legend. His matches as a part of Demolition with his tag team partner Smash are classic. I still remember their 478 day title reign back in 1989 along with their epic battles against such teams as The Brain Busters (Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard) and The Powers Of Pain (The Warlord & The Barbarian). Being able to meet Ax and to see him in the ring should be special to the fans," said Myers.

Also on the card for that night is a 30-minute “Friend VS Friend” Iron-Man Match featuring Matt Hardy against Hurricane Helms, former TNA TV Champ and current TNA Impact star Gunner versus former World Champ ROH/WWE SuperStar Colt Cabana PLUS a Legends Of Starrcade match featuring one-half of The Rock n Roll Express, Ricky Morton versus "The Russian Bear" Ivan Kollof in a Russian Chain match. Other matches featuring legends and multiple past champions from the WWE, WCW, TNA, ROH, ECW and NWA will be announced over the next few weeks.

WrestleCade 2012 is a “family friendly event” and it is also a fundraiser for Christmas Toy Drive. Christmas Toy Drive partners with The Salvation Army to provide toys to less fortunate boys and girls during the Christmas season. In 2011, over 2,000 toys were collected and the goal for 2012 is to double, triple or quadruple this number. The announcement that WrestleCade is coming to Winston Salem also represents a great opportunity for local businesses to get involved and be seen by 2,000+ people who are sure to be travelling to downtown Winston Salem from all around the country and especially the Southeast. Tickets for WrestleCade 2012 go on sale July 9th, 2012 with prices starting at just $10.00 each for general admission. Limited front row VIP Tables and corporate sponsorships are also available. WrestleCade 2012 will be held at the Benton Convention Center in Winston Salem, NC on Sunday November 25th, 2012. Doors will open at 2pm with a 3pm bell time.
