Follow on Google News | Dublin History Book Available for Pre-OrderAs Dublin Borough (Bucks County, Pa.) prepares to celebrate the 100th anniversary of its incorporation later this year, a booklet detailing its rich history is being produced.
Stef Green, Floss Rodgers, and Carol and Rod Shultz used public records, local historical information, personal recollections and private photographs to shape the content of the book. With large, detailed pictures, the 100-page book will allow residents to walk the streets, recalling historic sites they knew as children and young adults. For others, it will be a way to relive the town's rich heritage. Some people may be surprised to learn what the house they live in was used for in the past. "There will be something for everyone in this book," said Carol Shultz. "We hope it will generate some enthusiasm and appreciation for the borough." The 100th Anniversary Committee is taking pre-orders for the book. The cost of the publication will depend on the number ordered but the committee anticipates the cost to be between $10 and $20. To place an order or for more information, contact Carol Shultz at 215-723-8518 or Dublin Borough Manager Bill Wert at 215-249-3310. Also feel free to visit the borough's website (www.dublinborough.org) The book will also be for sale during the weekend of September 7-9, when the borough will celebrate its 100th anniversary with several activities, including a concert by the Philadelphia Funk Authority, a 5K race, parade, antique car show, and more.
