Follow on Google News | Kristin Jacobs for Congress doesn't know Fourth of July meaningKristin Jacobs of Broward County, Florida doesn’t seem to know the meaning of Independence Day although she is running for Florida’s District 22 seat in the US House of Representatives.
By: WOJS Publications Inc. A quick post on her campaign facebook page reads “Let us celebrate our freedom and salute our brave heroes who have fought for our Country. Wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of July!” and seems quite pleasant. But her constituents are saying Kristin Jacobs may be missing the significance of the holiday altogether with her approach to governance as a pay to play current commissioner on the Broward County Commission. The Declaration of Independence idea of the function of government to represent the people may be lost on Jacobs. Kristin Jacobs’ complicity with super lobbyists while in office and participation in a massive illegal land grab conspiracy against residents has voters asking who she will actually represent if she makes it to Congress. Kristin Jacobs’ ongoing coverup of the illegal seizure of homes, businesses, and churches from her own constituents for private profit in Pompano Beach CRA Gate is coming out as a large contradiction to her Washington outsider, mother/woman- Those who know Broward politics know the title of “Corruption County” is well earned and that the county has seen endless pay to play scandals and yet only a few convictions of government officials in recent times. Running the show as a current commissioner of the county, Kristin Jacobs refused to give up her position while running for the House and has her campaign fundraising parties hosted by the area’s super lobbyists. Many of these lobbyists have current business before the commission for which they are actively seeking Jacobs' vote. One such case is Ron Bergeron hosting a campaign fundraiser for Jacobs and shortly thereafter his company Sun-Bergeron Solid Waste Services winning a major vote to be contracted with the county. And yet with all this bad news of political corruption coming to the fore during election time, the good news is that whether candidates have studied government or not (Jacobs’ education is not available on her campaign website), constituents have the right to vote for who they think will best represent them. --- Kristin Jacobs is a Democrat candidate for Congress to represent Florida’s District 22 running against fellow Democrat Lois J. Frankel in the primary election which will be held in Florida on August 14, 2012. The winning candidate will then face the unopposed Republican Adam Hasner in the general election held on November 6, 2012.
