July 6, 2012 - PRLog -- The elegance of the structure of the fish is captured in this design, the Ika Pendant Light by David Trubridge. It displays a charm that is versastile,: it can be effective as a décor in pools, resorts and spas; at the same time it can be a good source of appeal in your private home or office. Made in New Zealand, the quality is unparalleled and the design is a true lsting masterpiece.
Ika is the Maori name for fish, and these lights are made from shapes that look like the scales of a fish. I like the way in which the overlaps of the plastic seem to create a quite different structure. - 'David Trubridge'
David Trubridge graduated from Newcastle University in England in 1972 with a degree in naval architecture (boat design). He is a self-taught furniture maker, developing his own designs, which he has exhibited around the world.
