Little Rock Lab Exceeds Stringent Standards Review to Achieve Accreditation. As the state's only private DNA Lab, Arkansas Genomics now moves forward with private and government clients as well as other testing-related partnerships.

July 6, 2012 - PRLog -- Arkansas Genomics, Arkansas’ only private DNA laboratory, celebrates its newly earned accreditation through the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board.  Arkansas Genomics is certified to the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard and Forensic Requirements for Accreditation (FRA- 1:2008/1 and FRAG- 5:2009/1.) The news is already spreading quickly through legal and investigative agencies at the state and national level; Arkansas Genomics offers a high-tech solution for crime labs across the nation facing backlogs in DNA testing, as well as thousands of individuals seeking finality in paternal and other lineage matters.

“Arkansas Genomics is proud of earning this recognition from ANSI-ASQ,” says Arkansas Genomics founding partner Jimmy Threet.  “We spent countless lab hours over the past year testing and validating our procedures since the accreditation process requires the very highest standard of excellence. We are committed to upholding that standard for our current and future clients.”

Backed by a team with a combined experience of over 60 years, Arkansas Genomics is already competing for state contracts for DNA testing services and preparing home-testing kits for private individuals.

“Our mission is to back the justice system in being swifter and more certain.  We recognize some of the most emotional situations and questions that haunt people can be answered with certainty under the microscope in a precision lab like Arkansas Genomics,” Threet continued.

The accreditation allows the lab to be recognized internationally and Arkansas Genomics plans to provide testing for entities in Africa, Asia, Europe and more in the future.
