San Diego Seafood Restaurant Completes Remodeling!

The restaurant is tailored around a restaurant that Scott discovered while visiting Victoria, British Columbia named Red Fish Blue Fish.

Red Fish Blue Fish is unique in that they operate out of a used shipping container. There is nothing fancy, just good food that has people lining up in droves to enjoy top notch seafood that is fresh from the catch. That’s the idea that Scott wanted when he designed Escape Fish Bar.

With the help of the owner of Red Fish Blue Fish and a friend from Costa Rica, Scott has managed to achieve 5 star ratings in all of the top restaurant directories. That’s no small task when you realize the amount of competition for seafood restaurants in San Diego. The food is influenced with a blend of tastes from South America, Asia and the Northwest. Every dish is unique on its own right.

San Diegan’s are taking advantage of this unique menu that is primarily seafood consisting of Pollock, Mahi-Mahi, Salmon, Albacore, Yellowtail, Ahi, Mango Shrimp, or local Halibut. Each plate is served with a side of rice, a potato or slaw. Their signature dish is seafood tacones which can be cooked with grilled or tempura battered fish. Of course they also have salads and soup on their menu.

The first time I visited Escape Fish Bar I thought the menu looked a bit small. Then I was informed that I can have my fish prepared to my liking and realized that this is no ordinary seafood restaurant, but one that caters to the individual.
