MPV Annual Retreat “Theology Of Mercy” To Be Held At Manhattan College, New York July 13-15 2012

July 9, 2012 - PRLog -- In keeping with the theme of “Theology of Mercy: Putting Into Action the Islamic Principles of Compassion, Justice, Love and Service”, a number of presentations will be offered by individuals known for their academics, activism and interfaith work.

Among the presentations will be:
Women's Shura Council: Gender Equality in Islam. Presented by Daisy Khan
Islamophobia and Homophobia: Two Sides of the Same Coin. Workshop by Imam Daayiee
A Progressive Muslim Teacher’s Guide to Teenage Angst, Rebellion, and Even Atheism. Presented by Yarehk Hernandez
Group visit to the 9-11 Memorial:  Reflection and closure with a silent prayer
